When visiting the Museum, please respect a few simple rules: 

• No touching the artwork: The oil from hands is damaging. 

• No flash photography. 

• No food, beverages, or gum 

• No backpacks or large bags permitted in galleries. 

• No umbrellas. 

• No pens or markers: Sketching in the galleries is welcome, but with a pencil only. 

• Please silence your cell phones.

• Please be watchful of small children. If visiting with a child, read some of our family-friendly tips on preparing for a trip to the Museum on the museum website. 

Individuals interested in licensing images of the Museum for commercial use are required to contact the Office of the President. Permission must be granted to use images of the Museum in a non-Museum context. For more information, contact the Office of the President. 

Photography in the galleries is allowed with the following conditions: 

• No flash, monopods, tripods, or large camera bags. 

• Photography of the collection is permitted for private, non-commercial use. Photographs may not be reproduced, distributed, or otherwise commercially exploited in any manner whatsoever. 

• Only works owned by the Museum in its Collection galleries may be photographed. Refer to the text labels located near each artwork. Please consult a Museum Representative if you are not sure. 

• All commercial, wedding, and portrait photography must be approved by the Director of the Dr. William R. Harvey Museum of Art.  

Museum Members would be a monthly package that comes with advantages such as free admittance, discounted room rental, and discounts in the gift store.  

Tier 1 - Free regular admission, $5.00 off Special Exhibit admission, and 10% off room rentals and purchases: $50.00 

Tier 2 - Free regular admission, $10.00 off Special Exhibit admission, and 20% off room rentals and purchases: $75.00 

Tier 3 - Free regular admission, free Special Exhibit admission, and 30% off room rentals and purchases: $100.00 

Based on pricing and availability, two to three Special Traveling Exhibits to be showcased per year. When a Special Traveling Exhibit is not showcased, local artists can be showcased.  

Artists showcasing their work have two payment options. A five-week show for a flat $1500.00 fee or a two-week show and there will be no fee for the artist, however, Talladega College is to receive 20% of all artist’s sales from their work. 

Experience a variety of entertaining and educational programs, from classes and hands-on workshops to demonstrations and tastings. Certain Special Exhibits come with specific workshops. Class fee is $5.00 per child (parents do not pay unless they would like to view the exhibits also). Fees are non-refundable; however, registration is transferable to another session

The room rental consists of the use of the bathroom and breakroom in the back part of the building. Room rentals are booked in four-hour increments and are subject to a deposit, which will be returned if the room remains in the same condition as rented. To schedule a room rental, please speak with the Director.
